My Kid's Stuff
Ever since I was young, I loved art work especially the activities with clay. I still remember when I was a kid, I often asked my mother to buy me clay bodies from which I’d create toys from my own imagination and be creative. Mostly I molded the clay into the shape of animals, like a cow or goat or elephant, animals that have a horn and tail. As I enjoyed working with the clay materials so much I became obsessed; sometimes I forgot to eat my meals regularly and often I forgot to study my lessons from school, which then my mother didn’t like.
I almost failed to pass my school work at that time just because of my joyful preoccupation with the clay. But then after all, I would like to thank my mom for she was always there to warn me and buy more clay for my art.
This is one childhood memory I will never forget. Actually, I still love creating works of clay art. Now I collect elegant looking pottery glazes too. The colorful, shiny and bold pottery glazes make my clay art look so professional. Someday I am hoping to buy electric wheels as well so that I can create more works of art from my own designs by spinning and shaping the clay into vases and bowls.
